Women mean business

WOMEN are invited to attend the launch of the Cranbourne Women’s Network next week.
The group will provide an opportunity for local women to meet and discuss issues relevant to them, and help provide them with the necessary skills to succeed and achieve their goals.
The Westpac branch in Cranbourne will host the morning tea on 12 March to celebrate International Women’s Day on 8 March.
Westpac Cranbourne branch manager Lee-Anne West said there had been a major shift in the role women played in managing finances.
“Women are increasingly taking the role of financial controller within the home and are now juggling the household expenditure along with the everyday pressure of maintaining family life,” Ms West said.
“We are also seeing women playing an increasing role within the business community. This is something we have seen in Cranbourne, where many businesses are now being created and operated by entrepreneurial women.”
The first event for the network will focus on which support groups are available to assist women in business in the Cranbourne area.
The morning tea will be held from 8.15am to 9.30am on 12 March at the Cranbourne Westpac bank on 116 High Street, Cranbourne.
Register your attendance by 5 March by email lawest@westpac. com.au.
