TWELVE new members signed up to the Cranbourne RSL during an open day on the weekend.
Cranbourne branch president Barry Jones said he was pleased the club gained new members at a time when plans were underway for a $4.7 million revamp to modernise facilities at the venue.
Mr Jones said he hoped membership would reach 2000 once developments had occurred.
The open day on Sunday had a family feel and included face painting for children, an animal farm and sausage sizzle.
“We had a good day. Overall the aim was for people to get to know the RSL and to see the other side of it.”
