POLICE charged a 27-year-old Dandenong man with attempted murder after he allegedly ran over a pedestrian at Lynbrook last month.
The incident occurred at a shopping centre in Lynbrook Boulevard on 21 January when the victim, on noticing his car was being stolen, had tried to stop it, but was run over.
The 27-year-old was charged with attempted murder, conduct endangering life and theft of motor vehicle. The man appeared in an out-of-session hearing at Narre Warren Police station and was remanded in custody to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.
