A PASSPORT to Casey’s cultural heritage was the theme of the day on Australia Day in Cranbourne.
The event at the Balla Balla Community Centre celebrated the many different people and cultures in the City of Casey.
A variety of music and dance provided a reflection of multiculturalism in Casey.
Thein-Thein was invited to perform some traditional Burmese dance on Australia Day and said it was wonderful to represent the country on Australia Day.
Patricia Saba, originally from Lebanon, lives in Cranbourne with her family and said it was a great opportunity to come together and celebrate the nation.
Ms Saba said Cranbourne was a fantastic place to live.
Local personality Lady Uppity Crust said hello to the crowd and said she was fortunate to live in the City of Casey.
“It’s the best city around. I do feel rather privileged to be a socialite in the City of Casey,” she said.
The day was hosted by the Cultural Historical Association of Rodrigunas and Mauritians (CHARM) in Victoria.
