HAMPTON Park Library users left their mark on a wall that will soon be demolished, as part of extensions to the library.
More than 70 people used some of their artistic flair to contribute to the colourful Demolition Art Project last Tuesday.
Extensions are currently underway at the library, and a temporary plywood wall has been erected that will soon be demolished.
Library staff invited the public to decorate a section of the wall, with the theme ‘what the library means to me’.
Branch manager Carol Bathie said library users of all ages took up the opportunity to contribute to the wall
“It was a reach out to the community. All library users were invited to come along on the day and contribute to our wall.”
The extensions should be completed by about March or April, Ms Bathie said.
