THE first hard rubbish and green waste collection for 2010 will start in the middle of January and continue for about six weeks.
Casey residents can dispose of general hard waste, green waste and steel and metal items during the kerbside collection service.
Items such as whitegoods, furniture and bundles of green waste can be disposed of.
Casey’s waste manager Michael Jansen said residents would receive a brochure detailing the kinds of waste that could be collected and dates for different areas.
“I encourage all residents to refer to this brochure as material should only be placed out on the nature strip in accordance with the collection dates for their area,” Mr Jansen said.
Acceptable materials should be stacked in three piles for general hard waste, green waste and steel and metal items. Material must be placed out by 6am on Monday of the collection week.
