Watch the wet!

By Kara Irving
A CRANBOURNE North man is lucky to be alive after smashing his car into a tree last Thursday evening.
It’s alleged that three men in their 20s were travelling to Merinda Park train station around 6pm, when the driver lost control of his car, narrowly missing oncoming traffic and later smashing into a tree on the corner of Jamela Court and Lesdon Avenue in Cranbourne North. The driver in his late 20s was airlifted to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with suspected pelvic injuries.
Two other male passengers also in their 20s were taken to Dandenong Hospital for further examination, but sustained no serious injuries. Ruling out alcohol and speed as possible causes of the accident, Police are urging drivers to take care when travelling on wet roads.
On Friday, the driver was recovering in hospital and was in a stable condition. The two other passengers have since been released from Dandenong Hospital.
