Gift of cheer

THE Casey-Cardinia Library Corporation has set up its giving tree for the year and encourages residents to help brighten Christmas for local families.
Residents are encouraged to leave a present under the giving tree at the Cranbourne Library from now until 14 December. The tree is decorated with tags for gifts for children, teenagers, parents and grandparents
The Salvation Army then collects and distributes the presents in the local area.
Hundreds of presents are donated at the giving tree each year.
Suggestions for presents include stationery in readiness for the new school year and gifts for boys aged about 10 would be appreciated by families this year.
The giving tree is located at the Cranbourne Library, at 65 Berwick-Cranbourne Road in Cranbourne.
