Prize lays world at their feet

‘RACE at Cranbourne and see the world’ is again the theme at the Cranbourne Harness Racing Club for the 2009/10 Trainers Bonanza.
A trip for two valued at about $15,000 to one of the world’s premier harness racing events will again be the top prize for the end of season Cranbourne Trainers Bonanza.
Cranbourne Harness Club chief executive David Scott said the initiative, in its third year, was established to reward trainers who chose to compete at Cranbourne and provided an incentive for them to continue supporting the club.
As part of the 2009/10 Trainers Bonanza, Cranbourne will again offer a trip to one of the world’s biggest harness racing events for the winner to choose, either in Sweden, America or France.
Any trainer who races a horse at Cranbourne during the season is in the running for the lucrative prize.
“We’re keen to give trainers every motivation to race at Cranbourne,” Mr Scott said.
“Likewise, the club is committed to rewarding those trainers for their participation.
“We believe the bonanza is fulfilling its aim, creating interest in Cranbourne and offering a tangible benefit for people who travel to this side of town with their horses.”
A Toro ride-on lawn mower valued at $5500 has also been added to the prize pool thanks the sponsorship support of ADE Turf Equipment.
