INTRUDERS armed with baseball bats broke into a Cranbourne house and assaulted a 40-year-old man who had to be rushed to hospital.
Two offenders entered the house at Rosalie Avenue about 2am on Monday morning and forced the front door open, police said.
They assaulted the occupant of the house, a 40-year-old man, with baseball bats and possibly a hammer, police said. The man suffered serious injuries and was taken to The Alfred hospital.
