THE Mornington Peninsula Nepean Football League (MPNFL) has cracked down hard on Pearcedale football players involved in an end of season trip that resulted in damaged motel rooms.
Each of players involved in the incident during the Warrnambool trip must show cause why they should not be deregistered.
“And until such time that they do show cause, their playing permit is suspended,” MPNFL operations manager Ian Benson said.
The Pearcedale Football Club has been placed on a $10,000 bond for five years.
Mr Benson said the league had also strongly recommended the Pearcedale Football Club fine each of the 21 players involved $2000.
