SPEED dating took on a new form at a Cranbourne Chamber of Commerce (CCC) networking night at Westpac last week.
Those who attended participated in some business speed dating that gave members of the CCC a chance to network with one another in an entertaining environment.
Cranbourne Westpac bank manager Lee-Anne West came up with the idea for September’s CCC networking night.
“It was my first CCC meeting that I attended, and I thought it would be a fun and interactive way of meeting local business people,” she said.
When the introductions were over, one of the topics of discussion included what each business could do to help their fellow Cranbourne traders.
CCC president Judy Davis said she thought the business speed dating was a wonderful idea.
“I thought it was a very good initiative, and I got some really good feedback from everybody that was there.” A different Cranbourne business hosts the monthly CCC networking evenings.
Ms Davis said new members were always welcome and hoped current members would bring fellow traders, who were not members, along to future meetings so they could discover what the chamber was about.
