CASEY council will close a gravel road to through traffic in Cannons Creek.
Reserve Way is a 100-metre long road that runs between Glenalva and Irene parades and the council said it was originally constructed as an emergency access track. In his report to the council, manager of engineering and environment David Richardson said the two property owners on Reserve Way supported its closure to through traffic but allowing for pedestrian access.
One of the council’s other options was to upgrade the road and install appropriate drainage at an estimated cost of $10,000 plus additional maintenance costs.
