Building on

BUILDING on the legacy of the founding leader is the aim of the newly appointed principal of St Peter’s College in Cranbourne.
Tim Hogan was announced as the new principal of the Catholic college in June after the retirement of the school’s founding principal Terry Feely.
Mr Hogan, who was deputy principal for 10 years, said many different thoughts and emotions crossed his mind since he received the offer to be principal.
“I am firstly thankful to Father (Andrew) Wise and the Catholic Education Office for this opportunity as it is a great honour and privilege to lead this community,” Mr Hogan said.
Mr Hogan said he was indebted to former principal Mr Feely for his guidance and example.
Mr Hogan said planning had started for a new junior campus at the school and one of the school’s focuses was on improving the information technology facilities for students.
About 200 computers and electronic whiteboards would be ready for use in about six months. There are almost 1000 students at the school.
Fr Wise congratulated Mr Hogan and said he was delighted to appoint him.
“I am confident Mr Hogan will lead St Peter’s along the path of continuing excellence, growth and effectiveness as a catholic college for our parish community,” Fr Wise said.
