Lunch recalls bushfires

MORE than 130 people from 10 regional units attended the Red Cross regional 8A luncheon this week.
Members of the Cranbourne and Hallam units hosted the lunch at the Tooradin Sports Club on Tuesday.
Regional chairperson Jennie Coventry welcomed guests and the guest speaker was the emergency service co-ordinator of the Red Cross Gippsland region Brian Soall.
Mr Soall spoke of his experience and the Red Cross involvement during the devastating Black Saturday bushfires. He brought photographs of areas taken before and after the fires.
The ladies from the Cranbourne Red Cross shop entertained with a parade of clothes from the shop.
