Car torched, window smashed

By Lia Bichel
A CAR was torched and a house window was broken during an early morning brawl in Cranbourne on Tuesday.
Senior Constable Adam West said the police were called to a fracas in Brooklands Green Boulevard at 1:45 am. Police believe the fight was between two people, and during the quarrel a house window was broken and a Commodore was set on fire.
Sen Const West said after some good work and numerous inquires made by the police, two 18-year-old men from Clayton South were arrested in a nearby property about 3am. “They were taken to the Cranbourne Police Station and interviewed for criminal damage,” he said.
The men were released early Tuesday morning and are expected to be charged on summons at a later date.
Sen Const West said such behaviour was intolerable.
“The wanton destruction of property is unaccountable and won’t be tolerated by police,” Sen Const West said.
Anyone with any further information about this incident is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or visit www.crimestoppers.com.au.
