SANDHURST Golf Club will open its two championship courses to the public from tomorrow.
The private golf club will also introduce its own stimulus package in the form of a Nine and Dine program.
As part of the program anyone can play nine holes of golf and have a meal for $38.
Ron Smith, corporate media communications at Sandhurst, said the program was a sign of the times.
“In the current economic situation many people find they can’t take a whole day off to take a game of golf,” Mr Smith said.
He said the club would remain private, but there was a range of offers available to the public.
General manager of Sandhurst Bill Laird said the Nine and Dine program was designed to provide members of the community the opportunity to fit their golf into half a day.
“With Nine and Dine we are also targeting people who may like to try out golf in a relaxed social format as a way of keeping fit or networking for business,” Mr Laird said.
