AN armed robbery in Tooradin on the weekend has left a 19-year-old Leongatha man with a sore shoulder, back and ribs.
Police said between 8pm and 8.20pm on 29 May, the 19-year-old was standing at a bus stop on the South Gippsland Highway when a maroon sedan with four men inside stopped.
The driver got out and, armed with 30cm iron bar, demanded money from the 19-year-old. When he refused, the driver struck him three times with the bar.
The driver and another man stole $70 cash and a Westpac credit card from the victim’s wallet.
The driver is described as being in his mid-twenties, 6’4”, wearing a backward peaked cap.
Frankston Embona Task Force members are investigating.
