POLICE charged three youths with assault following a daytime attack on three males in Cranbourne earlier this month.
A group of youths kicked and punched the males aged between 16 and 18 behind the High Street shops near Lyall Street on 4 May.
Police said the youths also stole Mother’s Day gifts from one of the victims. Police interviewed six youths on 13 May and charged three with assault, theft, robbery and affray. They were bailed to appear at the Dandenong Children’s Court on 10 July.
Police charged one youth on summons and two were cleared. They said the attackers were of Maori descent.
