Charges after police chase

POLICE charged an 18-year-old Cranbourne man with theft of a motor car following a pursuit in Sebastopol last week.
Ballarat police said they intercepted a stolen car but as they approached the vehicle the driver accelerated away.
Police used stop sticks in Lake Bolac to stop the car and end the pursuit. Police said three people fled from the car but were arrested.
