HARNESS racing returns to Cranbourne on Saturday night and the club will once again host its popular Girls’ Night Out race meeting.
Off-track entertainment on 2 May aimed specifically at the ladies includes fashion, dance and fitness demonstrations on stage at regular intervals, and a host of market stalls to provide an opportunity for some retail therapy in the lead up to Mother’s Day.
The party continues after the last race with a free disco kicking off about 10pm.
On the track, the equine girls will also feature prominently with a heat of the rich $100,000 Vicbred Series for three-year-old fillies to be contested.
And leading reins-women Kate Gath, Jodi Quinlan and Simone Walker will all be doing their bit for the girls on the track and hoping to continue their recent successes on the circuit.
Quinlan in particular has been having a terrific run at Cranbourne and is currently placed second behind Daryl Douglas in the Cranbourne Driver Of The Year award.
Admission for the evening is $10 and a limited number of group dining bookings are still available. For bookings and details call 5996 8677.
