MULTICULTURAL groups are encouraged to contribute a plaque to the Wall of Global Friendship in Cranbourne East.
The wall, to be built at the Balla Balla Community Centre, will be an outdoor space to celebrate Casey’s cultural diversity.
City of Casey mayor Geoff Ablett said the wall was ready to be built and invited all cultures to become involved.
“Multicultural groups who now call Casey their home are invited to contribute a plaque for the Wall of Global Friendships representing the people of their ethnic community,” Cr Ablett said.
The landscape will incorporate walls with messages of friendship and goodwill with gardens, paths, seating and flagpoles.
It will also feature plaques from Casey’s sister cities, Berwick-On-Tweed in the United Kingdom, Springfield in America and friendship city Ermera in East Timor.
For details call the City of Casey global friendships support officer on 9705 5200.
