CORAL Park Primary School students embraced their multiculturalism last week.
To celebrate Harmony Day, staff and students enjoyed a week of activities, including cooking multicultural meals, playing sports from different countries, Bollywood dancing and learning about arts from around the world.
The students celebrated the end of the week with a parade on Friday.
English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher Kim Kerr said the week was a huge success.
“Students invited their parents in for the cultural cook-off and it went really well,” Mr Kerr said.
The school was particularly excited to celebrate Harmony Day because of its diverse student population, Mr Kerr said.
“We have about 70 students in the school in the ESL program, so it is very diverse.
“The students had a great week of activities.”
