A VIOLENT attack on a Cranbourne teen has sparked a police investigation.
On Tuesday, 10 February at about 10.30pm, police said the 14-year-old boy was sitting on his BMX bike outside his house near the intersection of Lamont Crescent and Bond Street, Cranbourne.
Detective Senior Constable Paul Stow said two males and one female walked towards him from Duff Street. As the group approached the victim, one of the males asked the victim’s name and then punched him in the face.
The same male grabbed the victim by the arm and said, ‘You are coming with me.’ He told the victim that if he tried to run away or yell for help, he would be stabbed.
The group led the boy into the parkland underneath electricity transmission lines between Duff Street and Central Parkway.
Det Sen Const Stow said the boy was pushed from his bike and kneed to the face. One of the males stood on the victim’s throat and told him that he would cut his throat unless he stopped screaming.
He said the offenders continued their vicious assault by kicking the victim, before they stole his BMX bike and left towards Cranbourne West.
“This was quite an alarming incident. Fortunately, the boy wasn’t injured, but he was shaken up,” Det Sen Const Stow said.
“He gave up his bike which was very expensive; it cost him about $1000.”

He has short brown hair with longer blonde two-tone hair at the front and he has a piercing in his bottom lip. He was wearing a black T-shirt and blue denim jeans. The second male offender is described as 16 to 17 years, 183 cm tall, brown shoulder length hair and medium build. He was wearing a brown singlet with a print on the front and jeans.
The female offender is described as Caucasian, 16 to 17 years old, 150 cm tall, with brown hair slightly longer than shoulder length. She has a pierced nose through the septum, similar to a bullring. She was wearing a black top with pink writing and grey track pants.
The stolen bike was a distinctive ‘We The People’ brand and was grey, white, and purple. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Senior Constable Paul Stow on 9705 3114.
