Houses splash out for carnival

CRANBOURNE Secondary College students made a splash during their swimming sports last week.
About 750 students enjoyed a day of perfect weather at Doveton Pool in the Park last Thursday.
Winning sports house Poole took the honours for the day, ahead of Facey in second place, Donnelly in third and Brunt in fourth place.
Sports co-ordinator Steven Lynch said staff and students thoroughly enjoyed the day.
“The day ran perfectly. The weather was great and the staff versus students swim and tug of war went well,” he said.
The age champions for the day were: Girls 12-13 Maryia Williams, Boys 12-13 Jayden Lyon, Girls 14 Laura Cross, Boys 14 Hashmat Naim, Girls 15 Casey Lyon, Boys 15 Dean Hookey, Girls 16 Shannon Stroud, Boys 16 Scott Henly, Girls 17 Jodie Gladstone, Boys 17 Blake Pearce, Girls 18-20 Sarah Disher, and Boys 18-20 Alex Henly.
