Bushland of lasting value

A PLAQUE will be unveiled at Morning Mist Reserve on Sunday 22 February to honour the efforts of the Centreville Ratepayers Association.
Morning Mist Reserve is a 15-hectare block of indigenous bushland that forms part of the Centreville Bushland where much of the surrounding vegetation was cleared in the past to accommodate agriculture and horticulture and for expanding urbanisation.
The reserve acts as a link for birds and wildlife between Cranbourne Botanic Gardens and Langwarrin Flora and Fauna Reserve.
Casey mayor Cr Geoff Ablett has invited all residents, especially former members of the association, to attend the unveiling and enjoy the free barbecue at noon at the corner of Browns and Langley roads, Cranbourne South.
“This is a fine example of community spirit and a project of lasting value for all to enjoy,” he said.
