Kosky invited for a ride

PUBLIC Transport Minister Lynne Kosky was invited to take a train ride on the Cranbourne line during peak-hour services last week.
South Eastern Metropolitan MP Inga Peulich joined other opposition MPs who called on Ms Kosky to take the train home after a spate of cancellations and disruptions during the past fortnight.
“I have invited the minister to travel with me to see first-hand the daily struggle that many commuters on the Cranbourne/Pakenham line face.”
Ms Peulich said Casey commuters “suffered three straight days of public transport chaos” after recent balmy weather.
“Local residents on Casey must surely be shaking their heads and saying after nine years at the helm, why has our public transport system gone backwards?”
As announced in the State Government’s Victorian Transport Plan, new railway stations will be built at Lynbrook and the rapidly growing Cranbourne East.
