STUDENTS skipped class last week to raise money for heart disease research.
Tooradin Primary School sports coordinator Lisa Lever said 210 students from prep to Grade 6 did an hour of continuous skipping for Jump Rope for Heart day.
Students also received pledges to donate to the Heart Foundation.
“Many students found someone to sponsor them and had donations from family and friends,” Ms Lever said.
“Some students raised almost $150 themselves.”
Ms Lever said the school is still receiving donations and she expects the total amount of funds raised will be approximately $1000.
