POLICE charged a 31-year-old man after he called 000 last week saying there was a bomb aboard a flight from Cairns to Melbourne.
Police traced the call to a phone registered from a Hampton Park address.
Police charged the man with one count of use of a carriage service for a hoax threat.
Police led an operation after the call to determine whether it was a hoax, and the man later surrendered to police.
He appeared in the Cairns Magistrates’ Court last week.
