TEST drivers are needed to cycle the new bike track at Cranbourne’s Royal Botanic Gardens. The first three families to email marketing@rbg.vic.gov.au will get to ride the new four kilometre bike track which winds its way through the native bushland and native grassland from the new Woodland Picnic Area.
Tourism and Marketing Coordinator Matt Jones said the families would need to cycle the new route prior to the official opening, have their photos taken, and provide a brief written review of their experience on the bicycle track to use for future Royal Botanic Gardens publicity.
Mr Jones said the bike track offered people the chance to get off the walking tracks and explore, while watching out for different native animals and plants found throughout the bushland.
The official opening on November 23 will celebrate the bike track, the newly opened Woodlands Picnic Area, the launch of the Garden Grubs Kids Club, and will also include didgeridoo lessons, face-painting, a free sausage sizzle, games and activities co-ordinated by Camp Australia.
