One-shot win for RSL

CRANBOURNE RSL (1) pipped Sandringham by one shot to maintain its unbeaten record in a spirited game at Sandringham on Saturday.
Once again it was left up to the ‘A-team’ to get the visitors out of trouble, with Ryan Drummond’s rink outplaying its opponent by 14 shots.
Peter Somers’ rink recovered from a slow start to lose narrowly, while Neil Drummond’s team battled hard before going down by a shot
Greg Dore’s rink dropped big numbers all day, but had to settle for an eight-shot defeat.
Cranbourne RSL plays Mentone at home this week.
Scores: Cranbourne RSL 93 d Sandringham 92. R. Drummond 30-16, P. Somers 19-21, N. Drummond 20-21, G. Dore 24-32.

Cranbourne RSL (2) defeated Dandenong City at home to record its first win for the season and gain valuable points with some tough games ahead.
It plays Oakleigh next and will need to keep playing as a team.
