CELEBRATIONS will kick off this Saturday as the Pearcedale Farmers Market celebrates its first birthday.
The market, which is run by the Pearcedale Community Centre, is held on the third Saturday of every month from 8am to 1pm.
Entry to the fresh produce market costs $2 per person, with all the proceeds going back into the community. The market features more than 25 stalls selling produce from local farmers, including free range eggs, fresh fruit and vegetables, herbs, cut flowers, cheese, breads, coffee, jams and chutneys.
A no dig garden workshop at 10.30am and a raffle, with the first prize being two water tank garden beds donated by Pearcedale’s M.T Watertanks. Raffle tickets will be sold throughout the day for $1 each.
The Pearcedale Farmers Market is located at 710 Baxter-Tooradin Road in Pearcedale.
