Bank forms needed

RESIDENTS pushing for a Tooradin and Coastal Villages Bendigo Community Bank branch are urging locals to return their survey forms.
During the past month, thousands of survey forms were mailed out to homes and businesses in Tooradin, Blind Bight, Cannons Creek, Cardinia, Devon Meadows and Warneet to gauge what level of banking business individuals would bring to the branch.
Steering committee chairman Graham Elso said residents had indicated their willingness to be involved in this project but, for it to go ahead, more survey forms have to be completed and sent in without delay.
He said it was important for people to understand that the survey, conducted by an independent consultant, was confidential, can be anonymous, and neither Bendigo Bank nor committee members had access to the information.
“All of the survey forms are sent to the consultant, who collates the contents and presents it back to us in the form of a business forecast,” Mr Elso said.
“It is from these figures that our committee will make a decision regarding whether or not to proceed with a Community Bank branch.
“Anyone who supports the concept of a Community Bank branch in Tooradin is urged to take 10 minutes to complete a survey form, and ensure that their voice is heard.”
It is vital that the forms are filled in and returned this week, if they are to be included. For more information call Graeme Elso on 5998 7179 or Rex Genoni on 0428 322 144.
