THE Cranbourne Chamber of Commerce is welcoming its new president Noel Ridler.
Mr Ridler, who has been involved in the Cranbourne business community since opening the Bank of Queensland branch along High Street in September, was appointed to the position at last week’s Cranbourne Chamber of Commerce dinner.
Mr Ridler said he was looking forward to taking on the role of president.
“I want to make a positive contribution to the chamber,” he said.
“With my banking background, I hope to share my knowledge with other local business owners.”
Mr Ridler said his main aim as president was to develop a strong relationship with the City of Casey.
The Lysterfield resident has already made strong ties with the Cranbourne Cricket Club, becoming one of their sponsors.
The determined businessman said he also wanted to increase the number of members in the Cranbourne Chamber of Commerce.
“We need to build a strong network in Cranbourne and support each other,” he said.
Outgoing president Lisa Saint-John said Mr Ridler brought a new sense of energy to the chamber.
“Despite being a new-comer to Cranbourne, he’ll do a superb job as he wants to get involved with the local community and businesses,” Ms Saint-John said.
Ms Saint-John said she enjoyed the challenges she faced as president of the chamber.
“We got the website up and running, the chamber formed alliances with the Narre Warren and Berwick chambers and we are still in the process of a strategic planning project for Cranbourne,” she said.
