CRANBOURNE botanic gardens’ photographer Jo Fyfe will guide locals on a tour through the Australian Garden early next month.
The tour is designed to capture the beauty and intricacy of Australian wildflowers in spring, and Ms Fyfe will help participants explore the features of their camera to best record the blooming flora.
The tour runs between 3.30 and 5pm on Wednesday 1 October and has been timed to ensure budding photographers capture the soft afternoon light.
Visitors also have the chance to take a closer look at Australian flora while meeting and learning from three special botanical artists who are taking part in the Artist-in-residence program.
One of those artists is David Reynolds, an emerging Melbourne artist whose styles range from fine art to comic illustration.
He has been interested in art since high school and specialises in botanical illustration of Australian plants.
Mr Reynolds enjoys the discipline and scientific nature that botanical illustration commands.
