PLASTIC running rail inventor Dan Mawby has set his sights on finding a solution to the most contentious issue of horse racing: jumps and steeplechase events.
Mr Mawby told the News there was a way to increase safety for jockeys and horses participating in jump races.
“There is a lot of focus on horse and jockey injuries in jumps races,” he said.
“There is definitely an opportunity to improve safety.”
But Mr Mawby said his focus was on perfecting the PVC running rail.
“There is still a lot of work to be done on rolling out the plastic running rail,” he said.
