THE average person spends three weeks a year looking for things.
Car keys, remote controls, jewellery, DVDs and even socks – you name it, we lose it.
But Kevin Allman, chief operating officer of Store, a storage shop dedicated to organisation, reckons his new Cranbourne outlet will help locals reclaim wasted time.
The Store superstore opens at the Cranbourne Homemaker Centre on 21 August and specialises in products that help restore order and organisation in the house.
The Cranbourne outlet, sprawled across 1000 square metres of floor space, will be Store’s third shop in Melbourne, joining Hoppers Crossing and Ballarat.
Mr Allman said the concept was similar to Howard’s Storage World, but five times the size.
“We’ll have 5000 product lines on sale when the store opens,” he said.
“Cranbourne is a growth area and most houses are quite small, so storage and space is important.”
Store’s most popular products are the wardrobe organisers and empty shoe boxes.
“Women hate shoes scattered all over the floor getting scuffed, empty shoe boxes are the perfect solution. Our stores attract mostly women, we’re the Bunnings for chicks,” Mr Allman said.
The Store outlet replaces previous retailer Clark Rubber.
