Weekend school break-in nets computers

THIEVES stole computers, monitors and a keyboard from a Cranbourne primary school last week.
Courtenay Gardens Primary School was targeted between 11.50pm and 11.55pm on Friday 1 August.
Thieves broke into the school’s library by smashing one of the door panels.
Once inside, they stole two computers, two monitors and a keyboard before they fled the Rosebank Drive premises.
Security personnel arrived after the school alarm was activated.
Assistant principal Margaret Sheppard said the school’s last burglary was in 2006 and thieves also stole several computers during that incident.
“It was our new computers that were stolen on both occasions,” she said.
Police have urged anyone with information to please call the Narre Warren Police Station on 9705 3111.
