FOUNTAIN Gate and Hampton Park McDonald’s managers recently travelled to Las Vegas to receive an international award from McDonald’s Australia.
Lauree Barlow from the Fountain Gate restaurant, Geoff Bannister from the Fountain Gate Shopping Centre food court restaurant and Carly Young from McDonald’s in Hampton Park were selected in a group of 33 managers out of 700 Australiawide to receive an Outstanding Restaurant Managers’ Award, which they received at the global restaurant managers’ convention in Las Vegas last month.
McDonald’s Hampton Park owneroperator Ian Seal said he was delighted Ms Young was selected for the award.
“It’s fantastic that Carly’s work has been recognised in this way by McDonald’s worldwide,” he said.
“She is professional, dedicated, inspiring and a great role model for management and crew alike.
“We would like to congratulate Carly on this wonderful achievement.”
Ms Young said she was thrilled to be nominated for the award and felt honoured to be presented with it in front of her peers at the convention.
“It’s wonderful to be recognised for my work in this way, but if it wasn’t for Ian and the team at McDonald’s Hampton Park, this wouldn’t have been possible,” she said.
The Outstanding Restaurant Managers’ Award recognises those managers who have made an outstanding contribution to their role.
Applicants were nominated by their McDonald’s employers and were assessed on criteria including outstanding performance and contribution to the company, motivation, teamwork and leadership abilities.
More than 5000 McDonald’s restaurant managers from around the world and 600 from Australia attended the convention.
