STUDENTS at Lyndhurst Secondary College will be rocking during lunch breaks as they broadcast their very own tunes across the school.
Year 10 music students have been busy dedicating their spare time to the creation of a student-run radio station.
Fusion SMB (Student Made Broadcast) will run during semester one and air to other students at lunchtimes.
Music teacher EJ Campbell said the students had put in a great deal of effort to get the station to air and were looking forward to broadcasting their own segments over the coming weeks.
“I couldn’t be happier to help the students with this project,” he said.
“It’s been a great experience for all of us and I can’t wait to have the station up and running.”
Mr Campbell said each student was helping out by either providing music for their play lists, connecting mixing equipment, designing posters or publicising the station.
“Lets hope everyone enjoys the music we play — that’s all that matters,” he said.
