THE Rotary Club of Cranbourne is marking two milestones this year.
The club turns 40 this year, and on 28 November it will run its 40th annual Rotary Club Golf Day.
Club president Malcolm Wells said the club was excited about the double milestone and looking forward to the golf day.
“We are fortunate enough to get a lot of support from local golfers and even from golfers in the western suburbs,” Mr Wells said.
The event will be held at the Ranfurlie Golf Course in Cranbourne.
The day will tee off with the women in the morning competing for the Betty Clydesdale Perpetual Trophy and continue with a group of 120 men in the afternoon playing for the Barry Chapman Perpetual Trophy open event and Bill Campbell Perpetual Trophy Rotary Club teams handicapped event.
In the evening, players will be treated to a barbecue while a surprise comedian will entertain the crowd.
Mr Wells said all profits would go to Windermere Family Services’ Kids Becoming Champions program.
People are still welcome to register to play. Entry is $60, which includes the green fees and barbecue, or $50 for Amstel members.
