RELIGIOUS Education teachers from around the Peninsula met in Cranbourne last week to improve their teaching.
More than 150 teachers attended the Peninsula Regional Conference for Christian Religious Education (CRE) Teachers last Tuesday, 18 July.
A festive atmosphere greeted the CRE teachers, with helium balloons and posters, and a chance to mingle, share ideas and keep their qualifications up to date.
There were six different topics including children’s difficult questions, making CRE fun, storytelling, using Bibles in CRE, building meaningful relationships, and saturating schools with a Christian presence.
The Council of Christian Education in Schools (CCES) holds a professional development conference each year to ensure CRE teachers are well trained.
