CRANBOURNE Secondary College experienced a taste of motorcycle Grand Prix action last week with an exciting display in the school library.
Teachers were pleasantly surprised to see a flood of male students flock to the library to catch a glimpse of a Kawasaki 1100 motorbike. Library support teacher Sue Greer said the bike was on loan to celebrate the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix at Phillip Island on the weekend and attracted the attention of many students.
“The display was set up to encourage more male students into the library and borrow motorcycle books.
“It was essentially an enticement for nonlibrary users to come in, have a look at the bike and hopefully borrow a book.
“It was very successful and really well received both by students and teachers,” she said.
“The boys were very impressed with the bike, especially when I told them I rode it in!”
