STRONG-stomached kids at Hampton Park Library explored all sorts of festering facts last week.
Library officer Rachel Fitzgerald said the children learnt about gross and gruesome facts and food at the school holiday activity.
From how much saliva they swallowed in a day to the fact that germs could go through 10 layers of toilet paper and paper could be made from elephant dung, the Hampton Park kids were a much more knowledgable bunch of all things vulgar.
Ms Fitzgerald said the children also guessed the smell with 10 different items placed in closed margarine containers.
“They had to try and identify the various smells and then we talked about it afterwards,” she said.
The children also made themselves look gruesome by making fake blisters to put on their arms and hands.
