A CRANBOURNE North man has been arrested over an incident in which a car ploughed into a tree more than a week ago.
The 27-year-old man will be charged on summons with theft of a car and driving offences.
The charges relate to an incident on Saturday 1 December where a Ford sedan ran into a tree on Endeavour Drive, Cranbourne North, about 4am.
The driver was trapped in the car and once freed by emergency workers rushed to The Alfred hospital with a head injury.
The car had been stolen from outside a Macquarie Court property in Cranbourne North an hour before the crash.
Police are investigating whether speed or alcohol were factors in the incident.
