GARDEN gaiety swept Cranbourne Library this week.
The centre was transformed into a sea of colour when the work of Cranbourne Community House Botanic Art students went on display.
Botanical artist and teacher Margaret Holloway said students used fruit, exotic and native flowers and orchids in their impressions, which will feature in the library until Friday 25 November.
“Water colour, colour pencils and blacklead are used on archival water colour paper,” she said.
“The display shows a variety of styles and their development of control of their medium.
“Students come from a diverse background of experiences but one thing they have in common is their love of plants and their desire to put them on paper.”
For more information phone the Cranbourne Community House on 5006 2941 or Margaret Holloway on 5998 5382.
