CHURCH groups from the Cranbourne Christian Ministers Association gathered together on Good Friday for the 11th Annual Easter March down the streets of Cranbourne.
More than 500 people participated in various activities during the day, which included each church performing a re-enactment of their acknowledgment of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Turning Point Family Church Pastor Philip Cayzer said the annual event was a great way to celebrate the meaning of Easter.
“Each year we have a different theme for the march and this year it was Many Nations, One Face,” he said.
The theme conveyed the idea that Christianity was widespread across the world, but everyone was as one.
The march concluded at the Cranbourne Town Hall, where participants gathered to celebrate the work of Jesus Christ in a festive atmosphere.
Local business supported the day with Baker’s Delight in Cranbourne donating 1000 hot cross buns for the hungry group.
