WORKS by some of Cranbourne’s best photographers in the making will be on display at Centro Cranbourne Shopping Centre.
As part of the nationwide Smile with Centro community photography competition, the 20 Cranbourne finalists are on show at the shopping centre until the end of the month.
One of the finalists, Lauren Johnson, chose a photo of her son Riley, aged three, on his motorbike, which she says is his pride and joy, along with his dog Bud.
This followed the Australian trend, with the most popular theme among the 38,000 entries of children and pets. This reinforces a recent AC Nielsen Survey that showed a third of people agreed children and babies made them smile, and 22 per cent said pets and animals made them smile.
The winner of the Best Local Photo for each Centro centre and the national first prize winner of $10,000 will be announced tomorrow (Friday).
