It’s cool to be at school

Hampton Park Primary School’s Granger, Danielle, Wilson and Shannyn have not missed a day of school this year.Hampton Park Primary School’s Granger, Danielle, Wilson and Shannyn have not missed a day of school this year.

HAMPTON Park Primary School is working hard to improve attendance to give its students the best possible opportunities.
Last year recorded the school’s best ever attendance.
And this year, already 75 students have recorded 100 per cent attendance in the first half of the year.
Teacher Faye Rendall said the excellent attendance was a good indicator that the school was a safe place to be and that it also gave its students greater educational opportunities.
The school’s Attendance Champions, Granger, Danielle, Wilson and Shannyn, were celebrated recently as being the only kids to not miss a day since the beginning of last year.
Ms Rendall said the school made sure the message got across to the children – “Be here, all day, every day. It is not OK to be away. It is cool to be at school.”
