CRANBOURNE’S Hunt Club Estate celebrated its fifth birthday with a huge neighbourhood party last week.
A celebrity appearance by Humphrey B. Bear was the highlight of the afternoon as the estate marked five years of achievement on Sunday, 26 February.
There was plenty of free family entertainment, including the Wacky Jockeys, a jumping castle, face painters and an animal farm.
Residents helped cut the birthday cake and local Sarah Kirby was the lucky winner of the major prize draw, taking home a brand new 78cm television.
Hunt Club Development Manager Terry Dooling said it was an exciting year to be part of the estate.
“The Hunt Club is a hive of activity at the moment. We now have 650 occupied households and there are 50 currently under construction,” he said.
“2006 will be a very busy year. We’re looking forward to the opening of our new five-hectare wetlands and the new land sales office and Display Village in August.
“We’ve achieved so much over the past five years, it’s great to watch the estate take shape and continue to get better and better.”
Mr Dooling said the estate had grown into a close community that was known as the place to be for families.
“Visitors to the estate tell us the strong sense of community is evident at The Hunt Club.
“People value contributions such as the work of our dedicated Residents’ Association and financial grants provided to local not-for-profit organisation through our annual Community Fund,” he said.
